About the Job
You will be responsible for servicing project requirements and engineering design.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is a permanent role to complete structural projects.
Tasks and responsibilities include;
- Respond quickly and attentively to client’s requirements
- Undertake detailed technical design & documentation for mining, energy and marine related projects;
- Conduct structural engineering design;
- Build positive client relationships;
- Structural Analysis using Space Gass software (or similar)
- Coordinate activities to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the client receives a satisfactory standard of service;
- Work within allocated time and complete the assigned phase of an engineering project and carry out tasks to ensure these targets are met; and
- Assisting with new business development.
About You
- You will hold as a minimum Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural).
- Must be based in Perth and have full working rights
- Minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience.
- Preferred software experience: Space Gass, MS Office
- Demonstration of further tertiary and/or professional qualifications/accreditations such as CPEng, postgraduate studies, etc. is beneficial
- On path to Chartered Engineer status
- Sound knowledge of structural engineering design to Australian codes (e.g. AS3600)
- Reinforced concrete design experience
- Expert written English for technical report preparation
- Experience of International offshore codes (AISC, API, DNV) recommended
- Great communication skills/ability to work within a team
- Ability to deliver on tight timeframes
- Broad understanding of business, client communication, QA and financial principles; and
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
This is a staff role starting on a part time basis working up to full time for the right candidate.
